Experience Bibliotherapy

Sometimes the simplest way to understand the power of bibliotherapy is to feel it.
This pathway gathers the experiences that allow you to slow your pace, rest with story and meet yourself with gentle attention. These offerings are designed as spacious moments rather than programs, giving you room to breathe, reflect and feel restored.

Here you will find opportunities to join others in a calm atmosphere, whether for a short online circle or a longer reading retreat. Each experience creates a soft container for wellbeing, offering stillness, companionship and time to listen inwardly.

Begin where you feel drawn. Let each encounter with story meet you with care.

Reading Retreats

Come rest

Gentle online and in-person reading retreats to slow down, read with presence and feel quietly restored.

Reading Retreats create a pause from daily life so you can rest, reconnect and meet story in a spacious, unhurried way. These gatherings offer a moment of wellbeing, inviting you to soften your pace, listen inwardly and rediscover what brings clarity and ease.

Whether online or in person, each retreat weaves together reflective reading, journaling, conversation and stillness. The intention is simple. To let story accompany you back to your own centre.

Give yourself time to restore, breathe and feel met by words in a new way.

Gathering Around Story

Come together

Gathering Around Story offers a welcoming collective space where readers come together to reflect with others through carefully chosen texts. These circles invite you to listen closely, notice what resonates and experience the steadying presence of story in community.

The conversations are gentle and spacious. There is no pressure to analyse or interpret. If you feel drawn to speak, you are welcome to offer a reflection or simply rest in the listening. You arrive, breathe and let story open something quiet and meaningful within you.

Story Aloud

The Listening Heart

Story Aloud: The Listening Heart is a gentle audio offering for moments when you wish to pause, listen and be accompanied by story in a simple and intimate way. Across a season of six episodes, released every three weeks, you are invited to slow your pace and hear a story held with presence, curiosity and care.

Each episode opens into a small, reflective space where words can meet you in your own time. This is not a podcast for analysis or discussion. It is an experience of listening, shaped with warmth and steadiness, offering a way to reconnect with yourself wherever you are.

You may choose to listen while walking, resting, sitting with a cup of tea or settling at the end of the day. However you arrive, the intention is the same. To let story find you gently and create a moment of ease in the flow of your life.

If you would like to receive a note when new episodes of Story Aloud: The Listening Heart are released, you are welcome to join the mailing list.

Stories read aloud to steady the mind, soften the heart and invite quiet reflection.
