The Reading Way

A gentle way of arriving, at your own pace, anytime.

The Reading Way is a gentle presence alongside the way you read.
It is not a book club, and it is not therapy.
It is a guided reflective reading experience,
an invitation to slow down,
to meet story with presence,
and to notice what stirs.

There is no right way, only your way.

What The Reading Way is

Each Reflective Reading Guide centres on one book.
Depending on the text, you will move through carefully chosen poems, stories or short excerpts,
each one a small doorway into the heart of the story.

Alongside the words on the page, you will receive a reflection audio created for that book,
a quiet place to pause, listen and linger with what feels true for you.

The Reflective Reading Guides are gentle and spacious.
You do not need to prepare anything but your attention.

Each guide includes small passages from the featured book, but the full meaning lives in the wider work. You are encouraged to read the book in its entirety, in your own time, so the reflections can meet you with their intended depth.

What you’ll explore

As you move through a Reflective Reading Guide, you may begin to notice:

  • a line that lingers

  • an image that opens

  • a moment in the story that meets you in your own season

  • the quiet shift that happens when you sit with words a little longer

  • what stays with you after you close the page

These are invitations, small openings toward new ways of seeing.
Let your noticing be enough.
That is where The Reading Way begins.

How the Reflective Reading Guides work

Each Reflective Reading Guide includes:

  • introduced poems, a chapter or short excerpts from the featured book

  • a reflection audio recorded specifically for that text

  • gentle invitations to pause and notice

  • a Carry Forward line to walk with beyond the page

You have one year of access to each Reflective Reading Guide,
so you can revisit the passages and the audio in your own time.
There is no set pace.
The rhythm is yours.

What you will need

  • the featured book, borrowed or bought

  • a notebook or a few blank pages

  • time to linger with the words

  • openness to meeting the story gently

Giving this as a gift

The Reading Way Reflective Reading Guides can be a quiet gift for someone who loves books or for someone finding their way back to reading.

You can enrol on their behalf so they can begin when the time feels right. Their one year of access begins from their first log in.

A little about the spark behind this program

The Reading Way was shaped in part by The Artist’s Way, a reminder that meaningful pathways can be simple, steady and spacious. This sparked a wondering about how a reading centred pathway might unfold, held by small encounters with story and quiet moments of reflection.

These Reflective Reading Guides grew from that wondering.
