1. About Bibliotherapy Australia
Bibliotherapy Australia offers reflective, educational and wellbeing-oriented reading experiences, programs, courses and resources. Our work is presence-led and invitational, drawing on literature to support reflection, insight and human connection.
2. Nature of the Work and Disclaimer
All content and offerings provided by Bibliotherapy Australia are non-clinical in nature.
They are not therapy, counselling, diagnosis or treatment, and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological or mental health care. If you are experiencing distress or require clinical support, we encourage you to seek assistance from a qualified health professional.
Participation in any program or use of any content is voluntary. You are responsible for choosing how and whether you engage, and for caring for your own wellbeing.
3. Website Use
You may use this website for personal, lawful purposes only.

use the website in a way that causes harm, disruption or unlawful activity

4. Access to Digital Content
All recordings, workbooks, reflection journals and course materials are accessed through our website and learning platform on Squarespace.
Access is granted for personal, non-commercial use by the registered participant only. Content is provided for online viewing or listening and is not intended for download, copying or redistribution.
From time to time, downloadable PDF documents may be provided for practical or organisational purposes, such as program information or training logistics. These documents are for personal use or internal organisational use only and may not be shared, reproduced or adapted without written permission.
Access to digital content does not transfer ownership. All intellectual property remains with Bibliotherapy Australia unless otherwise stated.
5. Courses, Programs and Events
Descriptions of courses, programs and events are indicative and may evolve as part of a responsive and presence-led approach.

access is provided to the registered participant only
materials are for personal use and reflection
sharing login details or materials is not permitted
We reserve the right to adjust delivery format, scheduling or content where necessary.
Interstate and International participants are responsible for checking local time conversions.
6. Payments, Refunds and Cancellations
All prices are listed in Australian dollars unless otherwise stated.
Payment terms, refund policies and cancellation conditions are outlined on the relevant program or event page at the time of purchase. By registering, you agree to those terms.
If Bibliotherapy Australia cancels a program or event, you will be offered a refund or alternative option.
7. Intellectual Property
All original content, including writing, frameworks, course materials, audio recordings and program designs, is the intellectual property of Bibliotherapy Australia unless otherwise credited.
This includes, but is not limited to, Heart-Centred Bibliotherapy and The Reading Way.
You may not reproduce, adapt, teach or distribute this material without prior written permission.
8. Privacy and Data Use
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy, which is provided on the site and incorporated herein.

Training Terms and Conditions
Training Terms and Conditions for the Building Bibliotherapy Skills Training Course
These Terms and Conditions apply to the in-person and online Building Bibliotherapy Skills training course delivered by Bibliotherapy Australia.
Please note that the Bibliotherapy Basics course is offered through the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and is subject to ALIA’s own terms and policies.
1. Deposits and Payments
• A 20 percent deposit is required to secure your place.
• Full payment is required before the course begins.
• Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit card.
• Bibliotherapy Australia does not charge additional fees for credit card payments.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
In-Person Courses
In-person training involves securing venues, travel and accommodation in advance. Refunds take these confirmed costs into account.
• More than 45 days before the course: A full refund is available, minus the deposit.
• 30 to 45 days before the course: You may transfer to a later intake at no cost, or request a refund minus the deposit and any non-recoverable venue or travel expenses already incurred.
• Less than 30 days before the course: Transfers only, as all arrangements will have been confirmed.
Online Courses
• More than 30 days before the course: A full refund is available, minus the deposit.
• 14 to 30 days before the course: Transfer to a later intake at no cost, or request a refund minus the deposit.
• Less than 14 days before the course: Transfers only, as course materials and scheduling have been prepared.
3. Transfers
• You may transfer to a later intake, subject to availability.
• For online courses, if you cannot attend a session you are welcome to join the same session in the next intake, or request a condensed personal session at a reduced rate.
4. Cancellations by Bibliotherapy Australia
In the rare circumstance that a course must be cancelled:
• Participants will receive a full refund or may transfer to another date, whichever they prefer.
• Bibliotherapy Australia is not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.
5. Participant Experience
To ensure the course remains a respectful and emotionally safe space:
• Participants agree to engage with kindness, care and confidentiality.
• There is no expectation to share personal information or contribute verbally unless it feels right.
• The course is reflective and educational; it is not a therapeutic or counselling intervention.
6. Use of Materials
All course content, frameworks, activities and materials are for personal and professional development only. They may not be copied, reproduced, taught or used to train others without written permission from Bibliotherapy Australia.
This course is not a train-the-trainer program.
