Mentoring with Bibliotherapy Australia
This mentoring pathway supports a presence-led, invitational way of working with bibliotherapy — where stories are offered to be met in each person’s own way, without pressure to respond or interpret.
It is designed to help you develop a way of working that is clear, grounded, and true to you, and that can be applied across different settings.
How the mentoring pathway works
The mentoring is shaped around your context and the way you work.
It unfolds across four stages, each supported by a 30-minute one-to-one Zoom conversation.
You will:
• move through each stage in your own time
• reflect through short, guided invitations
• meet after each stage to clarify what is emerging and consider your next step
The Four Mentoring Stages
Stage One:
Orientation & Arrival
Meeting bibliotherapy as a way of being with story.
Stage Two:
Trusting Presence & Foundations
Noticing how you meet story and what you bring to the work.
Stage Three:
Language, Boundaries & Invitation
Developing clarity in how you speak about and hold your work.
Stage Four:
Shaping & Offering Your Work
Gently forming a bibliotherapy offering that feels steady and true to you.
Who is the mentoring for?
Mentoring is offered to practitioners who have completed a Bibliotherapy Australia training program.
This ensures a shared foundation and allows the mentoring to focus on deepening practice, rather than reorienting the work.
If you are new to bibliotherapy, training is the best place to begin.
Mentoring is available in Australia and internationally.
Your mentor
As you move through this mentoring pathway, my role is to offer a steady, thoughtful space in which your work can take shape.
You can expect:
Attentive listening that honours your voice and your way of working
Questions that help you see more clearly where your direction is leading
A calm, spacious conversation after each stage to reflect and settle your next step
Guidance that remains aligned with heart-centred bibliotherapy
Respect for your autonomy — you will never be directed into an approach that is not true to you
Clear boundaries around what mentoring offers
This is not clinical supervision or therapy.
Where needed, I may suggest additional supports beyond mentoring.
My role is to walk alongside you as your work becomes clearer, more grounded, and more fully your own.
What you bring to the mentoring
Care and attention as you move through each stage
A willingness to reflect and shape your work over time
Openness to exploring what feels true and sustainable for you
Time for both the written reflections and mentoring conversations
Access and privacy
Your engagement with the mentoring materials is held privately within the learning platform.
Your responses are saved automatically and remain available to you after completion.
You may return to completed stages at any time to revisit what you have noticed or shaped.
To protect the integrity of this work, the mentoring materials are not designed to be downloaded or printed.
You are welcome to keep your own notes elsewhere if that feels supportive.
This structure allows your learning to unfold in its own time, without urgency.
Completion certificate
At the end of Stage Four, you will receive a Certificate of Completion acknowledging your full mentoring journey.
