Bibliotherapy in Health Librarianship: A Reflective Practice of Care

In August 2025, I’ll be presenting a keynote at the Health Libraries Australia Conference on the role of bibliotherapy in health librarianship. This session will explore how literature can be used as a reflective practice of care — opening space for meaning-making, strengthening human connection, and supporting wellbeing in health-focused library settings.

The presentation will draw on my heart-centred bibliotherapy approach, developed through years of research and practice, and will offer both inspiration and practical ways for health librarians to integrate bibliotherapy into their work.
